Founded in 2004, VICCTRE is a registered 501 (c) 3  nonprofit equine welfare organization that provides a program for the rescue of neglected, abandoned, abused or otherwise unwanted horses as well as retired horses from all of the local tracks in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our ever evolving team of volunteersoffer love, affection, and a nurturing safe environmnet for their rehabilitation and eventuallypermanant placement options are identified either locally or stateside.

In balance with these efforts, the organization strives to create an educational and/or therapeutic environment that nurtures kindness, responsibility and respect for others through the development of human and equine relationships.  The work of VICCTRE is wholly dependent on private contributions.
  Monies go directly toward horse care.
